Long story short - I selected a new PCP earlier this year and I got a notification a few weeks ago from my insurance company (Regence) that my medical provider group (Evergreen Health) will no longer be in network starting 9/1 (unless they can somehow strike a new deal in the next 2 weeks).
I currently have a prescription from my Evergreen provider that is an on-going medication and one that cannot suddenly be stopped. The problem I have is that I am out of refills at the end of this month. Will that provider still be able to refill my prescriptions after they are dropped from my insurance??
The main reason I switched to this provider was because the provider I saw the year before through a different medical group had a much longer waiting period for appointments and I could never be seen. Technically I am still an established patient with them though. Does it make sense for me to just go back to them and try to get them to refill my medication? It seems like it would be awkward because I am thinking they will wonder why I got medication prescribed from another provider but now I am asking them to refill it.
Not really sure what to do. I hate all of this :(
