Is it bad that started eating vegetables only now(at 19 years old)?

Since I was a child vegetables have always tasted bitter for my tongue and therefore I didn't like them. My meals were always just protein (from meat) and carbs. I would eat fruit but I know it's less healthy than vegetables. My whole childhood I refused to eat vegetables and the fact that they're healthy didn't convince me to start eating them. However, lately, I've come to the understanding that if I don't eat vegetables now, I'll probably have to take a lot of medications when I'm older because of all the vitamin defincies in my body, and they may taste even worse than vegetables. I now understand that it's better to treat vegetables as natural remedies now and consume them than to suffer in the future. So I started eating vegetables now and quite surprisingly, the tatse is much mord tolerable to me than it was in the past. Not saying that I absolutely enjoy eating veggies, but I don't have a problem eating them anymore. However, I'm a bit bummed out that it might be too late and I might still suffer when I'm old. What do you think?
