I have absolutely no idea how this works (mostly because I just turned 18). But my mom keeps going to these scam websites claiming to be reputable healthcare insurance providers (I guess). She currently went to a site called “Obamacareplans.com” which I looked up and people mostly say it’s a scam. So she probably wasted even more many, and is going to be prone to a higher frequency of other scams.
So my main question is, how do I have my mom get insurance and how do I know that it’s actually a reputable service.
[to give context, my mom currently doesn’t have a job, has type two diabetes which has had her develop “neuropathy” I guess idk, she used to be a heavy alcoholic which got her fired several times (mostly for not showing up to work) she has now gone full cold turkey (which I know is a very bad thing to do with alcohol addiction, so I don’t know what I should say), my mom can barely stand more than a few seconds, she has major depressive disorder, she has a broken hip that has crippled her and causes immense pain for over 10 years. I really don’t know what the fuck I’m going to do. I’m currently going to leave and move to New Jersey (we live in New York currently). And so I have no idea if my mom is going to be able to survive. Like fuck she can barely stand. But I can’t live with her anymore. So what do I do to make sure she’s not going to just die]
