I grew up in a rural area where people who worked at the hospital probably knew everyone in the community personally and grew up with them.
I always worried about them giving away confidential information in a casual conversation with a friend like "oh, so and so had an appointment today." Nothing malicious, just someone being gossipy and loose lipped.
