Long time lurker here. I’m a 37M with a 15yr career in business but I want to make that move. I’m currently a producer for a news/sports media company. I’ll clear up some obvious questions.
- I have ZERO healthcare experience.
- My old ass just received my BS in Business.
- I’m looking to develop a skill set/experience that would earn around $80k and up per yr nationwide.
- I don’t not want to attend nursing school or become a nurse.
- I don’t mind a 2 year educational journey but I wouldn’t consider more than that.
- I’ve considered pursuing a MHA, but with no experience in this field, I’m not sure if I should explore other options first.
I’m not a picky guy and I’m open to most suggestions. I’ve looked into sonography, healthcare admin, analyst, and various management positions.
To be clear, I don’t mind doing this the hard way, I just don’t want to spend many years making the move. Until recently I’ve been a lifelong high school dropout and through years of hard work I’ve shown the ability to adjust and progress within most environments.
