Reading through my EOBs recently has made me very angry about the state of American Healthcare. I'm decently insured so I'm not put out when a hospital charges $18,000 and receives $1700 from me and my insurance company, but this information needs to be made public so uninsured and self-payers know what the going rate is when they are privately negotiating (or, even better, suing a hospital).
Is there a place online where I can go through all my old EOBs to upload the dates, providers, CPT codes, and "discounts" or payouts for services? Medical providers may have signed a non-disclosure about this stuff, but I haven't and I want to help others.
