Hi all!
I am a college senior working on my thesis which focuses on the diagnosis process within the United States and the discrimination and differing standards of care provided. As a part of my additional research, I am looking for first-hand accounts of discrimination as many people are unable to/are not comfortable with reporting healthcare professionals after experiencing this.
If choosing to share your experience, please also include why you were discriminated against (race, gender, sexuality, income, weight, age, etc.) and any info you are comfortable sharing about how these acts affected you (mentally, physically, financially, etc). Most importantly, did you ever receive the care you needed and deserved?
