Hey guys! I'm 24f and currently in a position where I need to figure out a career. Customer service and resturaunt industry isn't cutting it and I also have experience being a CPT and CYT which showed me that I enjoy working with and helping people.
I'm considering either pursuing school to become an Occupational therapy assistant or a respiratory therapist.
So far it seems like OTA school is more expensive than CRT school, but it seems like OTAs are more happy? I'm not sure. The work life balance for both seem great as OTAs work 8 5s a week and CRTs tend to work 3 12s. CRT also seems interesting because if you decide to become registered then you have the chance to travel for contacts and make a ton of money. OTAs seem to make less but the work is also less...invasive. I'm not sure about the growth in either field , but I'm definitely looking for something long term
What do you guys think about both of these career paths?
