My grandmother recently suffered a stroke, and we’re very fortunate that she is doing significantly better and improving. She had been visiting us from Mexico and is here on a visa. Initially, we were told she could possibly be eligible for a Medicare program that could help cover some if not all of her cost. However, due to the fact she is on a visa she is unfortunately unable to receive that aid. Are there any other options for helping cover or eliminate the upcoming medical bill? Since she is from Mexico, she has no income, insurance, etc. Any advice or things to ask hospital admin would be greatly appreciated.
