Local Dr. office is only accepting appointments for annual physicals, not sickness.

After a large Atlanta hospital system bought our small family practice years ago, logistics and communications have constantly deteriorated. Their medical staff is still very good and who I want to see. I was just told that they don't accept quick appointments any longer for currently sick patients. (earliest available was February, when I'll be dead if not treated.) WTF !!! Only option now is to visit an Urgent Care facility, which generally doesn't have MDs, but PAs or NPs at best.
