Hi all,
My girlfriend has been trying to find a new GP (she hasn’t been to one in many years and has some health issues that need to be addressed). Every office she calls asks if she is prescribed any controlled substances. She is, through her current Psychiatrist. However, this answer appears to be an immediate flag, whereby she’s told they can’t take her on as a patient. We’re in NYS if that matters.
There must be a way through this, right? We’ve been unable to get any office to even consider taking her on, which just feels ridiculous. Like she’s being blacklisted just for being prescribed certain medication.
Not sure this is the right place to ask, but we’ve been totally stonewalled and I don’t see any similar discussions anywhere online.
