So my employer is signing up with these guys but I'm not a quant by any means and the people they have here pitching their thing are clearly a bunch of young entrepreneurs selling a product. There's stuff about telehealth and faster treatment/prognoses/meeting doctors, home visits, tracking health via wearable monitors, etc., making health goals and your doctor monitoring your status and giving you nudges toward those goals, and so on..
One guy was talking about mental health benefits and he brings up his uncle who lost his battle to mental health issues which yeah that's sad and awful but wtf are you doing using that in your sales pitch?
Talking about how they need us to be their "partners" because they're doing something "unique and new" in health care
Idk, maybe they're great, and my employer is awesome and I trust them but it feels so weird to be sold at with something that isn't "go to your doctor and don't worry about crazy high costs"
Was wondering if anyone knows about them/can help me better understand their model without the bias of trying to sell it to me?
