(Kind of about insurance, but more about medical billing). For reference, I’m in the US. I’ve read that in ERs, prior to receiving certain diagnostic tests, women are tested for pregnancy even if they indicate that it’s not possible for them to be pregnant. Can a woman be charged for this test, even if they said they’re definitely not pregnant (and thus didn’t want/need the test in the first place)?
