What would you guys do if you were in a position to make healthcare more affordable?

So… I live in the U.S. and it’s the most expensive system that exists right now. I was curious about what would be some ways to decrease the cost of healthcare. Such as prescriptions, in hospital service, and etc. I know that universal healthcare is a bit controversial but can we still do something to fix the private system?
