I had to get a plan back in July from losing my job and holy hell, searching and filtering providers by coverage, medications, and providers is damn near impossible.
I have 3 kids and a wife. Some see therapists. We have two different pediatric doctors from different providers.
I have some very expensive medications. Humira and Lialda.
I ended up getting a no deductible plan since I had already met mine from my employer. Come to find out, there was a separate deductible for medications.
I would have chosen cobra if I could have gotten the same subsidy as seen on the marketplace.
There seriously needs to be a redesign when selecting plans. It seriously seems designed to illicit discouragement from using it.
Anyway, anyone have any recommendations to help this now that open enrollment is coming up?
