Reform ideas

Anyone who has been a patient knows how slow, expensive and uncaring the healthcare system is. Do you guys, as aspiring doctors or working specialists, have any ideas about how we can reform? 1 idea is to focus on Diagnosis as the first immediate concern for all patients, rather than having them see a "primary" doc and then requiring "referrals" to see "specialists". Instead, have sweeping patient focused testing and screening done asap. Let us build factory type of medical facilities doing comprehensive blood work, cancer biopsies, MRIs (we need to subsidize mass production of those machines), and any other tests desired, not requiring the authorization of a physician, but at patient request after medical consultation, which is scheduled reasonably quickly. Many patients today must wait 1-2 months to see a "primary", then 1-2 more months for a "specialist", get diagnostics 2 wks after, then wait 1-2 months again before any treatment is actually administered to the then dying or already dead patient. Thoughts?
