My friend & I work for the same company therefore have the same insurance. His wife has an inoperable brain tumor that is not life threatening. She has had this tumor for about 15 years. She receives SSI every month and does not work. She is on his insurance as they are married. This tumor does affect her balance and her mobility. Last month she fell and broke her ankle very badly. She had to get permanent rods and pins. She had the surgery & was sent to a rehab facility. She has been there for two weeks. A few days ago she was dropped off by said facility stating that “insurance would no longer pay”. She is still unstable on her feet due to the break and he cannot afford in home help. He cannot leave her home alone and has missed 3 days of work to look after her. Is there any answers for him?
