What to expect?

Hi, I'll start off by saying I've never been to a gynecologist. I got a yeast infection for the first time a few months ago and it still hasn't gone away despite me trying tla 3 day treatment and online advice, but that's not what I'm asking for. Because mine won't go away I've been told to go to a gynecologist, but I've never been. I don't have insurance and I can't afford to spend money on all these first time procedures they usually do like a pap smear, pelvic test, etc. I ONLY want to be prescribed medication to get rid of my yeast exam. Am I required to get these other things done since it's my first time?
