I've had some mental health issues over the years and now I have athsma and pneumonia too. I am scared to go to the ER because I know the cost to make an IV is $1 but I will be charged $787. I caved in today because I could barely breathe.. I still waited an hour to be seen, hour for test results and then I got a breathing treatment, steroid shot, antibiotic shot. After that I was sent to a pharmacy to pay outrageous costs on a new inhaler (this one really helps though) and a few other medications.
Is anyone else barely hanging in there?
