Called in with stomach issues today and was told to stay home, then received a text saying each time you call in you need a doctors note. I do not have insurance.

Title pretty much explains it. I need to get a doctors note but I do not have the money right now to pay $100+ out of pocket just to get one. It seems I don’t have much of a choice though. I’ve never even heard of a business doing this.

Would a walk-in clinic be willing to work out a way send you a bill if you can’t pay up front immediately? I’ve been trying to figure it out but I’m not really getting a straight answer.
