What is the average cost of minor outpatient care? (for instance, a cold or medical examination)

I am not a USA citizen, but I plan to move there. I'm aware there is no "healthcare" in the USA - it's insurance, more or less. (This is a hot-button topic I don't want to debate atm)

I am in generally good health, so I do not as a rule buy insurance. However I may succumb to minor ailments and would like to know the above (I Googled it, but the numbers I get are all over the place)

Also, do most insurance plans cover mental health? I assume so?
