My mom got a bunch do work done this year at local hospital, in network. Multiple bills, say around $5,000. In the meantime, she hit her out of pocket max for the year. Does this mean she can call and have those bills brought to zero? Or will they automatically update to 0?

Or are those bills somehow separate from the out of pocket max?
