I’ve been seeing a provider regularly and they were within network. I received a large bill from them because my insurance was denied (after being previously covered). The insurance company told me that the provider started billing from a different location and that tax ID isn’t in network. The provider did not tell me they were going to start billing insurance differently.
I’m wondering if this qualifies for the no surprise billing or if there’s anything I can do to reduce this bill since I had no way of knowing they switched to out of network.
