I’m self employed and chose a plan this year on the exchange (Wisconsin) that turns out to only cover a small handful of providers in a few very specific locations/cities and pretty much all of them we’ve called are booking 9 months out for appointments, if the providers are even taking new patients, which most of them aren’t.
So, the insurance for what we want to do has been basically unusable for our $1000 monthly premium. I’d like to switch to a larger company that isn’t so restricted on providers. Is there any way to do this or am I just stuck until next open enrollment?
