Checks from BCBS

I recently opened mail from BCBS, which I typically don't open. They're usually EOBS or other things I can view online. I received 4 checks for 2 different out of network providers. I don't recall getting bills from these two providers, but I might've tossed them if they looked spammy. I called BCBS and they explained they're for groups that are out of network, and my best bet is to call the group to get more info. If I do have outstanding debt with these groups, can I negotiate the amount I owe with them? Any bit of money I can save to help pay off my medical debt helps. I feel like it's never-ending lol
