I am the proud father of a beautiful 8 week old baby boy. I have been disappointed time and time again by healthcare professionals pushing circumcision on my girlfriend leading up to our sons birth and after.
So many times when my girlfriend is alone with healthcare workers because I am at the front filling out paperwork, not able to make it to the appointment, or some other reason they push circumcision to her.
First, I really do believe circumcision is barbaric unless absolutely medically informed necessary. Second, stop singling out mothers about this issue especially when the father is clearly actively involved.
Also, I don’t need to hear any opposing opinions regarding being for circumcision. I’ve done my research and I myself am circumcised although I really wish it had been up to me to make that decision.
Please be more aware and stop treating fathers like this. Most of us love our partners and even more of us love our children, let us be involved.
