I am thinking about being a pre-med major or becoming a PA. I know experience looks great for PA school and medical school applications. I would like to become a medical assistant for a summer and work for 30 hours a week, since I am still a college student. I do not have time to work during the semester, so do you think places would be willing to hire me for just 12 weeks? I really want to get PCE hours and this would be a great way for me to do it without interfering with my school work, since I have another job as well I want to keep. Please let me know your thoughts! If any one thinks being a medical assistant for a short amount of time would not work, please let me know if there are any medical jobs that give me healthcare experience that don't require a degree and would be willing to let me work part time for a short period of time.
