Hi all, I'm considering quitting my job to start my own business (self-employed for now).
If I look at the healthcare marketplace and put in my 2021 income, I don't get any discounts/assistance (as expected). However, if I put in my expected 2022 income, it's a massive reduction.
What I want to know is how to handle this in 2022. I'll make ~300k in 2021 and ~20k in 2022. How can I reduce my healthcare costs when the new year starts? Do I re-enroll? Do I have to wait for the open enrollment period before I can realize that reduction in cost? Any help would be very appreciated!
