I have no idea what to do, I'm entirely new to health insurance. I got a covid test as I had been in recent contact with someone who tested positive. This was on 08/08, I paid $5 at the counter and now I owe $270 to my insurance because "services for diagnosis are not covered". I don't understand, I thought Covid Tests were covered, even my insurances website says it is until August 31st (my statement was posted on the 25th). Can I file an appeal? Do I truly owe $270 to my insurance? They're not paying any copay or anything. I might as well be paying out of pocket.
