[Discussion] Cost of digital patient support programs from health-tech vendors - how do we know we aren't being ripped off.

So we're looking for a company to serve as the digital vendor to provide a patient support program for a pharma company.

The program should include an app for patients to be able to use, as well as software provisioned for use by the care providers involved in the program to monitor their patients.

So the program will basically be quite all-encompassing, with all the bespoke workflows, including things like programmed SMS messaging, etc, we require.

One tech vendor we've spoken to seems to be charging an exorbitant rate. They're charging something like $0.8 USD per patient, per month, meaning with out expected 6000 patient mark, we would be paying 4.8k USD monthly just for the patient support program.

They're justifying this as a SaaS service, saying it's a digital service that's very all-encompassing. It's hard to find publicly find quotes on how much a digital PSP should cost, so we don't have anything to ballpark against to know if we're being ripped off. Any insight from someone else with experience in providing patient support programs would be great!
