[Question - Other] question about wearing scrubs for a mostly non-clinical position in a VA

Hi all! I recently got a job as a rehab technician in a VA. Based off what they told me, it is mostly non-clinical support stuff (gathering supplies/cleaning them, keeping records, answering phone etc) but I will have some contact with patients when transporting them to and from therapy room.

I was thinking of wearing scrubs because it’s easier/comfortable and it is an inpatient facility. So even if I’m not directly performing therapy with patients I guess it just feels cleaner versus worrying about clothing.

I emailed the DOR who I’m working under and she said it’s not necessary to buy scrubs but I certainly can if I want.

Just wondering if you feel it would look weird/unnecessary? I don’t wanna do it if people are gonna be judgey lol (guess that’s my anxiety) but I def feel it’d be easier. Thoughts?
