If you go out to the Harvard, T.H. Chan, School of Public Health site, you will see a long list of articles outlining the rising risk of COVID-19 Break Out Infections due to the low vaccination rate.

What is the ethics of putting those of us who got the vaccination at increased risk so as to allow people the freedom to do what they want? How can masks and lockdowns be mandated on the one hand and then vaccination never mandated due to a freedom of choice issue? Why is the freedom to decide to accept or reject the vaccine a given when the freedom to move about and live as normal human beings can be abridged at will? How do we balance these competing mandates? Obviously there must always be exceptions for any mandate to vaccinate due to other health issues involved. However, what do the medical ethicists say about this quandary? I do not have the answer but I feel that we need real experts and real people on both sides to state their case because this has very serious life, freedom and health impacts for all of us across the planet. Decisions cannot responsibly be made based on tribal affiliation. Real debate and consensus is needed now. I have malice towards no person but I would like to see an honest and well thought out debate on this very serious topic.
