I opted for coverage on April 27th 2021 which went into affect on the 30th if that month. I've been fighting my employer for a refund ever since.
At the time, their site had not yet been updated to reflect the 100% subsidy but I had until end of April to enroll. I was told I'd be refunded at a later date. My coverage was initially supposed to start March 2021. The site made me pay for both March and April in order to get coverage.
My company's terms state that "the new election would be prospective from April 1st, 2021, only, without needing to elect and pay retroactive to the date coverage was lost or discontinued." I interpreted this as I should have not been forced to pay for March. Initially, they told me in May that I'd be refunded for both months. At the end of June, I was told that I would only be partially refunded for March. Today, I was told I wouldn't be refunded for March at all.
According to the terms linked here, do you think I'm eligible for a full March 2021 refund? I've been having a lot of issues since opting in almost 3 months ago. Each month cost me over $360.
Communication with my old work place has been difficult as this department only has an email contact. I cannot call them.
