I have roughly 8 years of clinic healthcare experience. With some administrative work thrown in there. Currently I manage all medications, prior authorizations, and disability paperwork for a large physicians office. I have two years of managing experience working in a call center. I managed around 20 people and helped interview for open positions.
With all that said I’m having trouble finding a job in healthcare administration that pays anything more than $20 an hour. I have a Bachelors in Health Administration and I’m currently working on a Masters in Healthcare Regulation. I’m at a loss with what to do next. The only jobs that seem to want to interview me are positions that pay less than what I’m currently making. I have experience and a degree so I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong? Anyone have an ideas or what the best path would be to take?
