[Question - Other] Doctor wants me to schedule an appointment for follow-up questions about my prescription

I used to be able to message my doctor on my healthcare app about my prescription and would get a reply the next day. Now I am on strong antibiotics and have many side effects so I messaged her to make sure this is normal, but the doctor never wrote me back anymore. At first the nurse called me and told me what the doctor said, then of course I had some more side effects and kept communicating with them through messages, but they never told me if these side effects are normal or not, now doctor wanted me to schedule an appointment. I ask very simple questions, just about the side effects, why can’t they just tell me if it’s normal or not? Why do I have to wait 5 days and pay a co-pay for them to tell me it’s normal? I know they’re busy so I don’t expect an answer right away, but why can’t doctor just spend 5 minutes to write back whenever she has the chance? Are doctors not allowed to answer questions through messages anymore? I am so confused and frustrated.
