[Discussion] family members who are healthcare workers hesitant about taking COVID vaccine

So I have some family members who are healthcare workers (specifically nurses) who are hesitant to take the vaccine. I understand being worried when it first came out but it’s been about a year since they were first tested, about 5 months since they were distributed to the general public, and all the research done to create the vaccines came from previous studies. Being healthcare workers they already have priority access to it but of course they refuse to take it.

I’m not sure if I came to the right group to post about this but I guess I was wondering why my family members who are healthcare workers are suspicious about this vaccine. Is their suspicions valid or are they just believing the conspiracies? Are other healthcare workers having the same suspicions too or are more workers supportive of the vaccines? Would love to get some feedback from those in the field.

(Also please note I’m not against the vaccine myself. I actually got my first dose not too long ago).
