In December I lost my job. As they were letting me go my employer informed me I'd have my healthcare till the end of that month. I even got the annoying COBRA letters in the mail but instead of applying for that I applied for Medicaid because I'm pregnant and I had no idea if I'd be able to find another job quick, especially with all the dr appointments I had.
Thankfully I found another job 2 months later and got my new health insurance. But during those two months I was on Medicaid I had three doctor appointments. I gave the dr office my new insurance info, even talked to the dr about it so they knew to bill that, but of course I just got an email that I had a new EOB under my old insurance. This confused me, so I logged in and saw that not only did my dr bill my old insurance, but my old insurance covered it?
Should I just take this as good luck and leave it be or should I remind Cigna that they haven't covered me since December and get the dr to correctly bill Medicaid?
