Serious question: How do you properly dispose of “spoiled” blood? [Question - Other]

Watching the news right now and they’re talking about how hospitals in Texas are running low on blood supply because refrigerators and other equipment lost power. I have no experience with any of this (I’m a business major and work in finance) but I’m genuinely interested with this question. [Question - Other]
