Not sure this is the right subreddit, but I need some pointers. Any help is appreciated.
Someone close to me working in UK in private healthcare (think about taking care of residents with medical conditions) has been dismissed (wrongfully) : apparently he was seen not wearing a mask properly (did not cover his entire mouth +nose) while speaking on the phone, alone in a room, for less than a minute. Once he realized the mask slipped he put it back properly.
He has until early next week to make an appeal and find someone to represent him. He is not part of a union (yet) : Any suggestions as to which one would represent him as soon as he joins? Is this possible?
I won't comment or go into the details of the dismissal. It's safe to say that their approach is not solid and the company has a history of not being transparent and honest about their decisions.
