Located in Virginia, through a very large health group. I have an appointment that was scheduled 6 months out for a specialist tomorrow morning. I was called at 5:15pm-after hours-and left a message that they cancelled my appointment due to an insurance issue. I’ve called my insurance and they said there is absolutely no indication this is true. I’ve left messages for administrators and patient advocates but cannot get in touch with anyone being as it is after hours. This was a life changing appointment and I feel like the rug is being swept out from under me. Im still showing up at 8am for my appointment to offer to pay out of pocket if need be. Does anyone here have any advice/patients rights that I should be aware of/use to my advantage here?
