I am lucky to have a $0 deductible plan thru my employer. In my benefits, it says some things are "no copayment" while others say "no deductible, no coinsurance." (For example, labs in a physicians office are "no copayment" while outside labs are "no deductible, no coinsurance.")
What is the difference if I have a $0 deductible? Will I be responsible to pay for either service? Or neither?
(I ask because today I had a CT scan ordered by my GP, and the hospital said I had a $400 copay..... yet in my benefits, it says all radiology services are "no deductible, no coinsurance" which I thought meant I had no responsibility??? Does this mean they are counting a CT as an "outpatient procedure" rather than a radiology service, even though it was performed at the hospital radiology center?)
