[News] 2022 Notice of Benefit and Payment Parameters posted for 30-day notice and comment period

Hey guys. I'm going to post a link and teach you a little something about writing to complain to the government about proposed rules.

1) Link: 2022 PN The 2022 Notice of Payment Parameters for the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, otherwise known as Obamacare.

2) When you write to the government to respond to these proposed rules you must be

 A) Specific B) Policy based (pertains to the scope of the rule) C) Seeking to improve

The government gets thousands of comments like "This is trash. Don't let Trump ruin the Affordable Care Act." They get ignored. Also ignored are comments like "Obamacare is terrible." They aren't specific, and they aren't in the scope of the rule.

My suggestion is to find something small that might interest you that you can understand- read the proposal- read the proposed regulation text if any exists pertaining to that section, write a thoroughly reasoned opinion using the law, prior regulations cited in the text, or economic or fiscal analysis of why what is there is wrong, insufficient, problematic, or hazardous--and suggest an improvement.
