MRI changed price after telling me the price? [Question - Insurance]

I had to get an mri of my left foot (no contrast) so I shopped around for the best price. The best price I could find was $460 with a $46 copay. I got the price over the phone.

When I arrived for the appointment, the bill said $1260 but my copay still said $46. I asked the lady why it changed and she said the prices are not set prices. She assured me the copay was still correct and I had already gone through all of the trouble of getting my referrals transferred, making the appointment and driving there so I took her word for it.

Now a couple weeks later I got a bill in the mail saying after my $46 I paid I owe another $241. WTF? Is this legal? I can’t believe a doctors office played me like this. Is this a common thing and can I do anything about it? TIA
