Is Capitation the future?

I'm not sure if something like this has been posted, but I've been reading up on the capitation model of payment and the positive effect that it's having right now (especially with covid and in patient centered medical homes), I'd love to hear any thoughts and perspectives anyone may have? Though fee-for-service pays more, do you see capitation models growing, and it being beneficial for all stakeholders?
