Beeswax for lipbalm?

I'm looking to make my own lipbalms and one of the ingredients im looking at is 100% pure beeswax - but I'm wondering if it has to be refined or something of the like in order for it to be cosmetic grade, or if '100%' is the indicator of it being good for cosmetics?
