I am a 22 year old male.
I was in university for 3 years studying Biology. Honestly that was a mistake. I eventually realized that I have no interest in Biology or going to medical school to become a doctor.
I didn't know what I wanted to do. I figured it's best for me to take a break from school and work to figure things out.
I rounded up an Associate of Arts degree before taking a break from school.
I've been working in a hospital cafe for 11 months. I make $11.25 per hour. I realize this is not something I want to do long term.
I want to go back to school to obtain a career that pays a higher salary and something that I would be happy or satisfied with.
I've done some soul searching and I think I do want to get into healthcare.
I don't think I'm interested in getting my Bachelor's at this point.
Getting an Associate's in something more specific sounds better to me.
For healthcare I went through a lot of professions and I narrowed it down to X-Ray Tech or Cardiac Sonographer.
I'm thinking perhaps Cardiac Sonographer. I've went through echocardiograms with Cardiac Sonographers and the profession does seem interesting to me.
However, I'm also thinking about X-Ray because there's more programs for that in my area. I live in Michigan.
I'm also an introvert. I'm not much of a people-person. They say X-Ray is a better fit for introverts.
So I don't know.
What do you guys think?
