Dr. Bronner 18 in 1 soap AS SHAMPOO

Just wondering if anyone has used Dr. Bronner’s liquid soap as shampoo. I started a few days ago and I’m not sure if this is normal... after shampooing my hair (tried once with conditioner after and tried once without) I was brushing my hair and it looked almost like dandruff in my hair brush. I have absolutely no dandruff so I’m only assuming it’s the fifthly product coming off from my hair. I washed my hair thoroughly and my hair was greasy 5 inches from my roots to the tips of my hair. Anyone have experience with this? Or know what the white stuff is in my hairbrush?
