Why are so many science bloggers advising against making hand sanitizer because of the fire risk? They are no elaborating on safety and storage. Its one thing to warn someone but I've been coming across way too many "smart" people who love to show how smart they are but then not really have any real information to offer. So I'm wondering if these bloggers are just being smart or are advising correctly. I can't stand the store bought ones, even unscented so I wanted to experiment with my own and also create something I can mist on surfaces like door knobs and shopping carts.
