I’m currently a nurse and thinking about getting my MBA or MBA/MHA. I was wondering with my previous background of being an ICU nurse, on leadership committees and being a charge nurse (small leadership role in unit) how competitive would I be transitioning to a fellowship role post masters.
Downsides I see to fellowships are money. I could transition to pharmacy, consulting or medical devices for over $100,000 first year after grad school. However the upside of being apart of a competitive fellowship is great and could potentially lead to executive roles which I would be aiming for.
For those that are in fellowships, applying to them or have gone through them can you tell me a little more about pros and cons?
