Our group is working on the final project for our Masters of Information and Data Science at UC Berkeley. We are working on a project to attempt to improve the medical billing, coding, and electronic medical record note taking system by creating a virtual assistant using neural networks and natural language processing.
We are hoping to focus on improving one or more of the following:
Reduced Errors
Improved Consistency & Transparency in coding
Reduced Time Spent in Process of documentation and tagging codes
Higher payment to practice
Reduced insurance fraud or improved consistency with insurance auditing
